Medical Biller & Admin Specialist

Key Responsibilities

You will work directly with U.S.-based healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal admin teams to ensure billing accuracy, timely claims processing, and compliance. Tasks included, but not limited to:

Claims Management
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using EHR/PMS systems (e.g., AdvancedMD, Kareo, DrChrono, AthenaHealth, etc.)
• Submitting both electronic and paper claims accurately and on time
• Verifying that all coding and documentation align with billing requirements and payer guidelines

Payments & Posting:
• Posting charges, adjustments, and payments (including co-pays, deductibles, and insurance reimbursements)
• Processing and reconciling ERAs and EOBs
• Identifying and correcting posting discrepancies
• Coordinating with practice administrators for missing documentation

Insurance Management
• Verifying patient eligibility and insurance coverage via portals or calls
• Completing pre-authorizations and obtaining referrals as needed

Denials & Follow-ups
• Investigating and appealing denied or rejected claims
• Conducting follow-ups with insurance companies to resolve unpaid or delayed claims
• Tracking claim status and updating billing systems with documentation

Requirements and Qualifications

• Strictly minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a U.S. Medical Biller
• Strong familiarity with insurance claim cycles, denial codes, and payer-specific guidelines
• Experience with medical billing software or EHR systems
• Knowledge of HMO/PPO, private insurance billings and the likes
• Able to navigate insurance portals, perform eligibility checks, and manage EOBs/ERAs
